Feathers drift down slow,
The angel has fallen fast,
The sky becomes dark.
Long, white hair tangled,
Limbs spread out this way and that,
Broken bones of light.
Leathery wings flap,
Demonic yellow eyes gaze,
Sharpened canines grin.
Red begins to ooze,
A chuckle pierces the dark,
Angel's eyes flutter.
"I knew you'd like that."
Drones the demon's quiet tone.
"Fighting didn't help."
Pale ivory skin,
Phosphorescent in the moon,
Naked on the street.
Angel's eyelids close,
Demon raises to his feet,
Death claims innocence.
